This Network

Our founder started CFO+ Team after identifying a growing wave of baby boomer founders preparing to sell their businesses. In conversations with these founders, one need came up again and again — CFO support.

He realised he couldn’t fill every role himself, so he created a community of CFOs to share these opportunities. From there, the idea expanded into the Founder’s Cookie Jar — a model that provides not only fractional and full-time CFOs, but also services such as auditing, financial modelling, governance reviews, and risk management, alongside other financial solutions.

Our model is simple: when our exit team identifies a business in need of additional financial support, we connect them with an experienced CFO from our network to explore their needs.

When a CFO joins our network we ask them their location preferences and contact local founders who may be looking to exit.

Reply
As founders reply, our exit specialists will discuss their needs. If it becomes apparent that they are in need of additional services, a CFO in our network will be introduced to discuss these requirements.

Placement
This conversation may lead to fractional/full time placement of the CFO, as well as other services. If a service is agreed that does not involve the chosen CFO, they will receive commission as compensation.

Support
Throughout your placement/negotiation, you will be able to fall back onto the community for help and support ay any time.

Do I need to be an active CFO to join?

Not necessarily. Many of our members are experienced Finance Directors or Controllers preparing for their next step. If you’re ambitious about finance leadership, this network is designed for you.

How does the portal work?

Our portal connects CFOs with local business leads and opportunities. While leads aren’t guaranteed, they give you a valuable way to build your own pipeline, grow your network, and discover businesses in your area.

What happens before the portal launches?

The community is already active. If you join now, you’ll be part of a thriving network and will be fully onboarded so you’re ready to use the portal as soon as it goes live.

Will CFO+ Team also help place me in roles?

Yes. Alongside the portal, our dedicated recruitment team actively places CFOs into fractional, interim, and full-time positions.

Am I tied into working only through CFO+ Team?

No. You’re free to generate your own leads and secure roles independently.

What kind of services might businesses need from CFOs in the network?

Requests can range from fractional and part-time CFO support to full-time placements. Founders also look for help with financial modelling, exit preparation, governance reviews, and risk management.
